-  DEPTH AND EXPERIENCE FOR THE 2022 RACING KARTING SEASON

Montréal, March 4, 2022 - TAG Motorsport - CRG Canada Team is getting ready for its second racing season in the Coupe de Montréal sic-race championship scheduled to start May 1st at circuit SH Karting in Mont St-Hilaire, Quebec. During the off-season, Alex Tagliani of TAG Motorsport made changes to his team with the addition of a few experienced drivers such as Pier-Luc Ouellet and Jeffrey Petriello, both from Terrebonne, Quebec as well as Patrick Dussault of Saint-Bruno de Montarville, The three drivers will compete in the Shifter Class in the Coupe de Montréal championship at the wheel of the brand new Italian CRG chassis design with the new Adaptive Braking System, a system which will allow its drivers to be more competitive. As for young Matthew Taskinen, he comes from New Sarepta, a suburb of Edmonton, Alberta. He will compete in the Rotax DD2 class. These newcomers will add depth and experience to the second year team with their previous winning record in karting and motor racing.

"The team is really excited and is eager to see these new CRG chassis which were recently approved by the FIA Karting sporting regulation," said Alex Tagliani. "The new chassis comes with a very complex braking system which is new in the sport of karting. This is the first exciting news. The second news is the addition Pier-Luc Ouellet, Jeffrey Petriello, Patrick Dussault and Matthew Taskinen who will be driving the new Black and Orange TAG CRG karts. As for the first two mentioned, let me say that they are friends with whom I worked with when they first started in karting. Over the years, we kept our friendship alive. For those who don't know Pier-Luc, he was a two-time Karting World Champion (2007-2011)."

"During his karting career, Pier-Luc ran with CRG. He is well known by the family of Giancarlo Tinini, president of CRG. Mr. Tinini is very happy to see him return to GRG. With his skill and knowledge of racing, it will be very interesting to see him compete in the Shifter class, which is by the way the Formula 1 of karting. He will have the possibility to have fun in the highest class of karting and put his expertise to work. Jeffrey Petriello is another driver with lots of experience in formula racing in the BMW Series. He also has a decisive driving skill in karting. I see them both as leading drivers who will share their knowledge all season long. As for me, Pier-Luc and Jeffrey in our karting team is like having Lewis Hamilton in a Formula One Team, This will be very helpful for all our drivers,"
continues Tagliani.

" I would also like to welcome Patrick Dussault, another gifted driver who comes from the IMSA GT3 Porsche Cup. He has a lot of background in the world of motorsport. He will be the one to watch all season long. Our last newcomer in the top classes is Matthew Taskinen who will be TAG Motorsport lead driver in the Rotax DD2 class. Very skilful, we await to see his performances in Quebec following his championship seasons in Western Canada. Besides racing this year in Alberta, Taskinen will compete in Quebec thanks to the sponsorship Colin Livingston of Western Canada CRG dealership."

"They will join drivers who are returning to the team from last year as well as other newcomers to be announced shortly,"
concluded Alex Tagliani.
TAG E-Karting, the immense Karting and Amusement Centre, which opened its doors last year in Plaza Sainte-Thérèse, Québec, is proud to have TAG Motorsport-CRG Canada karting team as part of its affiliates who are welcoming this year these four new talented drivers.
