Alex Tagliani and Tag E-Karting & Amusement embarked on a new expansion program this spring, taking over Mont-Tremblant's karting facilities along the prestigious road course site. It is generally said to be the most beautiful karting track in Canada. This acquisition allows Tag E-Karting to offer indoor and outdoor karting, an important asset with the long Quebec winters.

The new facility will be called the Tag Karting Academy (formerly Jim Russell Karting Academy), and the Tag Motorsport racing team will also be headquartered at the new location. Alex Tagliani said: “This is an exciting time for all of us. This new facility will cement us in the karting world and provide racers and families with a place to compete and have fun.”

The Tag Karting Academy is enthusiastic and delighted to be added to the already touristy region of Mont-Tremblant. With go-karting being popular, the new facility will operate with high-performance rental karts, allowing families to have fun and compete in competitive racing.

The Tag Karting Academy will continue its relationship with the world champion karting brand CRG to offer its customers a new fleet of state-of-the-art rental karts. There will be tracks designed for children and adults and an improved bistro for food and drink. Karting enthusiasts can take advantage of an amateur league and an academy run by professional drivers, allowing customers to learn techniques better as they drive a kart. Companies can also take advantage of this space for fun activities and develop their team spirit.

The Tag Karting Academy will host major karting events in 2023. To accommodate these weekends, the company will invest in improving the experience. These improvements will include a modified pit area, a preparation grid, and a new space for the parc fermé. Competitors and racing teams will also have access to a roller dynamometer to tune their karts better.

For this project, Alex Tagliani and his partners have decided to join forces with double world-karting champion Pier-Luc Ouellette and racing driver Jeffrey Petriello. Their arrival confirms the place of the Tag Karting Academy as a force in the karting world.
